Father's Day 2006
Well, I delayed writing this entry until I could get the pictures from the camera to the computer. That now accomplished, I cannot for the LIFE of me get the pictures onto the blog.
Let it be known that we DID actually celebrate Father's Day here in Kyiv. Anna, bless her heart, sent a sweet message from Nepal to her father. His OTHER children joined him after church for dessert and coffee at one of our favorite little restaurants, Shapito. The decor is circus, and the spot is located between the Kyiv circus and our first apartment. Gary and Karen (and even Rachel) should remember this little cafe.
Anyway, though this is Jim's 23rd Father's Day, it is the FIRST with a daughter-in-law. Pretty darn special day.
Also joining us were Suzanne Dyck and Connie Fortunato, both from Santa Cruz, California, and both here for Music Camp International. Suzanne was our houseguest for 3 weeks, leaving our flat at 5 this morning. She will be returning to California, while Connie will be heading to Romania to lead two more camps. Please pray for this ministry...through music, literally hundreds of children at each camp are introduced to the truths of Scripture.
